MY NAME IS KHAN is scheduled to release on Feb 12, 2010, and is jointly produced by Hiroo Johar, mother of Karan Johar and Shahrukh Khan’s wife, Gauri Khan. Directed by Karan Johar, it is jointly made under Johar's Dharma Productions and Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment banner. The film has been in the news for various reasons-one of them being the coming together of the popular celluloid pair of SRK with Kajol, and the other, for SRK having signed a 1 Billion INR deal with Fox Studios who are going to distribute the film in India and world wide. This is going to be interesting…take a look. “My Name Is Rizwan Khan. I might seem a little different to you. This is because I have Aspergers Syndrome. It is named after Dr. Hans Asperger who first noticed the traits in children. Having Aspergers does not mean I am stupid. I am very intelligent, but I don't understand people. I don't know why people say things they don't mean. For example, they say come to my house any time, and when I go to their house they say why have you come at this time? Sometimes people think I am rude. I don't mean to be rude. Being rude is not good. My mother said there are only good people and the bad people in the world and I am a good person...” The story goes like this: Rizvan Khan is a man of Indian origin who goes and lives with his sister and brother-in-law in San Fransisco. There he meets Mandira (Kajol) and falls in love with her. The two start their married life and also a small business, together. Life goes on smoothly for them, till there’s a terror attack on America; the Twin Towers were bombed down by the terrorists, sadly bringing the average Muslim under the merciless glares of suspicion. The much-in-love couple are not able to cope up with the pressures and split. The film is about Rizvan’s journey across America to get his girl back.
