Two friends, Madhavan and Sharman Joshi, set out to find a lost buddy who changed their outlook for life, and redefined the word “idiot”! On this journey, they encounter a long forgotten bet, a wedding they must crash, and a funeral that goes, ridiculously out of control. As they twirl through all these experiences they remember their friend Rancho, a free thinker, a non conformist, who defined and redefined life with his radical ideas and actions. They are reminded of their hostel days, of Rancho’s fluttery romance with the spirited Pia (Kareena Kaproor) and Rancho’s tryst with his oppressive mentor, Viru Shastrabuddhe (Boman Irani). One fine day they wake up to the fact that Rancho’s suddenly vanished. Where did he come from and where did he go-is a quest the two friends set out on.
