UTV Motion Pictures and Ashutosh Gowarikar Productions present WHAT’S YOUR RASHEE?, a film based on a Gujrati novel, Kimball Ravenswood, by Madhu Rye. The story is that of a Gujarati boy who believed that he would only enter into a love marriage, but is now faced with a crisis of finding a girl for himself in ten days flat. He’s perplexed, but decides to go the traditional way. According to him, the best way to find his match would be to meet twelve girls, each belonging to a different zodiac sign or ‘rashi’ (in Hindi). That would not only give him his best match but also an opportunity to fall in love, twelve times over! So he proceeds into finding his wife, making way through twelve different girls. The USP of the film are two. One, this is Ashutosh Gowarikar’s maiden venture into romantic comedy, and two, the twelve different ‘rashi’ girls are all played by Priyanka Chopra. Yogesh Patel, the man in distress, is played by Harman Baweja. The film is jointly produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Sunita A. Gowariker. Other cast includes Manju Singh, Aanjjan Shrivastava, Visswa Badola, Rajesh Vivek, Dilip Joshi, Dayashankar Pandey, Yuri Bhairavi Vaidya, Geeta Tyagi, Ajita Kulkarni, Darshan Jariwala. The music of the film is given by Sohail Sen and lyrics by Javed Akhtar. Costume design by Neeta Lulla and Art direction by Nitin Desai. The film releases worldwide on September 25, 09.
