ACCIDENT ON THE HILL ROAD, is a film based on a true incident that happened in the USA, sometime in the 90s.
Celina Jaitley plays the character of a young, hard-working, hard-partying Sonam Chopra, a young medical aide with big dreams. Her life changes forever when one day while driving she dashes her car into a harmless Prakash Srivastava, effectively played by Farooq Sheikh. Prakash is badly injured, but instead of taking him to the hospital, Sonam, along with her druggie boy friend, Abhimanyu Singh (of GULAAL fame), decides to dump Prakash in her garage, leaving him struggling for life. A scared Sonam fears taking him to the hospital, for that might jeopardize her pre-mature career.
In a tooth and nail fight for life and death, the victim and the captivator come face to face, each trying to survive and out-do the other.
Celina Jaitley is seen in a never-before role and looks promising. Farooq Sheikh, as ever, looks harmless as he plays the character of a simple man, but gives an intense performance as the victim who’s fighting to survive somehow. The movie has a gripping plot and applaudable performances by Farooq and Celina.
