Aamir Khan and AR Rehman have done it again! After Aamir’s success with 3 Idiots and Rehman’s third time nomination in the Oscars just recently, the duo are back in the news. Aamir and AR Rehman have been honoured with the coveted Padma Bhushan award for their extraordinary contribution to Indian Cinema on the occasion of 60th Republic Day. Both “stars” have an A list of awards they’ve “hoarded” in the past few years, which could make even the biggies jealous! While Aamir’s films are a treat in themselves, the actor has already earned himself the Padma Shri, apart from the other awards that keep trickling in for his films. It’s another thing, however, that Aamir doesn’t attend award functions. AR Rehman, too, has the most enviable list of awards-- 2 Oscars, Golden Globe Awards, BAFTA and now another nomination at the Oscars for a Hollywood film COUPLES RETREAT. Rehman was awarded an Oscar in 2009 for his soundtrack in SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE. Apart from Aamir Khan and AR Rehman, veteran actor Rekha and Saif Ali Khan, too, have been honoured with the “Padma Bhushan”.
