Salman’s VEER is up for release now and it reminds the audiences of his earlier film Suryavanshi, wherein Salman wore the same look and hair. While many have appreciated the look, some have rejected it outright, saying it’s not going to work just like Suryavanshi didn’t. However, it would be unfair to rule out Veer just on the premise of its similarity with Suryavanshi.

The film also reminds one of GADAR, primarily because the director of both the films, GADAR and VEER is Anil Sharma, who has successfully created big budget movies like, Tahelka, Hukumat, Elan-e-jung etc.

When GADAR was released alongside LAGAAN, a classic period film with Aamir in it, it was written off and expected to fizzle out in front of the titan. But not only did the film survive; it also went on to become the biggest grosser in Hindi cinema, netting a whopping 70 crores against LAGAAN’s 28 crores.

So whatever people say, Salman sure doesn’t have a reason to worry, his saviour being Anil Sharma.
