For character actor Yashpal Sharma, filming for Araanca Creations maiden venture Chali Chali Re Patang, was an altogeather different experience.Used to living in hotels during outdoor shoots. Yashpal was pleasantly surprised to find himself living along with the entire unit in debutant director Gitanjali Sinha's ancestral house in Bhagalpur, Bihar. "'It reminds me of my growing up years in Hissar", he said, remembering fondly.
Sitting around a bonfire after dinner, ghost stories would be narrated, no doubt, some of them were even cooked up! Yashpal not only enjoyed listening in to those stories but even narrated some of his own experiences to the already scared crew members cuddling up around the bonfire. Two of the girls from the crew were so scared by the end of the session that they refused to go to their rooms. Proving that chivalry is alive and kicking in Bollywood, Yashpaj, gleefully, personally escorted the two young ladies to their rooms.
Everybody enjoyed the home cooked food which was served on the sets.Yashpal and co-actor Raghuveer yadav also tried their hands at dishing out recipies from Haryana and Chhatisgarh. The comraderie and bonding and the informal atmosphere resulted in the actors giving some of their best performance.
Chali Chali Re Patang is Gitanjali sinha's debut directorial venture and is expected to hit the theatres early next year.
