Interestingly Rahman's "Jai Ho" was originally composed for "Yuvraj" but went to "Slumdog"

Ever since the white dove ‘Masakalli’ and Sonam’s be-bopping number from DELHI 6 has hit the TV and radio stations the young actress has become the talk of the town. But it could have been different. Originally, A.R. Rahman had composed this song for Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan’s OM SHANTI OM. However, Vishal-Shekhar later stepped in and things changed. So the music maestro then gave the song for Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s DELHI 6. Of all the people, pretty girl Sonam is happiest, for sure!

Interestingly, A.R. Rahman’s award-winning track “Jai Ho” was originally penned by Gulzar for Subhash Ghai's Salman Khan film 'Yuvvraj' but went to 'Slumdog' after Ghai did not use it in his movie.
