Interview with Katrina Kaif
|
Relationships have always been more demanding for an actress but when you are dating Salman Khan, there is somehow a lot more to clean up after the party...Writes Shubarna Mukerji Shu.
I met Katrina soon after her 'infamous' birthday party. While the altercation between the Khans did take focus off the fact that the pretty girl grew a year older, she didn't have any fond memories of the party to talk about, when I asked her how it felt to be older... While I understood the sullen face I still was hoping she would say something maybe like the year has made her more mature and that we could hope to see her in cinema India would someday be proud of. But nothing.... she just sat there having her fruit salad and hoping I would only ask her about her movies etc. It was a tall order.... even for someone who seemed to be living on salads.
"Enough has been already said about it, I really don't want to carry on with this topic. My relationship with Salman stays. Beyond that I have nothing to say. Let's talk about my movies instead."
"If I want to keep looking for reasons to crib then I'd be the unhappiest person in this world. I shall be forever grateful to Salman. Now, if because of this friendship I am not getting a few films or roles, I would be a fool to crib about it." "I am not in the frame of mind to be doing films like Black. I want to do films which compliment my age and understanding right now. I want to have fun. Why should I be in a hurry to grow older and make morbid cinema in the name of turning into a mature actress ?"
"Malaika and I have no problems whatsoever. More so, I do not think she can afford to hate me... her son, Arhaan and I are terribly fond of each other. I don't think his parents can keep us apart!"
