Casting spells, wooing princesses and more...

Prodding the usually chilled out Riteish to let his imagination loose and take a wild and crazy trip, isn't that easy this time. He is initially reluctant and tries to excuse himself saying, 'Your imagination stops growing wild as you grow older. You know, I think the purest and the most magnificent imagination is that of children; they can fly kites under the sea. So it's that wild.... you'll have some fish swimming and, at the same time, kites flying in the water!"
Well, well, no one who can speak of kites flying in the water can be devoid of imagination, I argue. After all, what's the point in being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes ? With this saying, I plunge on...
Does he believe in magic? Yes, of course, but I have a different take on magic. I believe things happen in your life, which are simply beyond your control. Some people call it destiny; some people say it just happened because it had to happen. And when it happens to you suddenly, especially something which you have craved for really long, it's just like WOW! So things that happen to you suddenly, which are not in your control, are magical. It is one of those ecstatic moments of life when you just feel, 'Is this for real? Is this actually happening to me?'

....And his one such moment would be? Well, I felt that I was in some kind of magical trance when we were driving with my dad for his investiture ceremony, when he became Chief Minister for the first time? that moment was magical. It came at a point when all the odds were against us. And after all the hard work and all, when it finally happened, we were all so excited and that moment was magical for me. Basically anything that is beyond my control and gives me immense happiness, is magical for me.
What if he had some supernatural powers, what would he do? I would be a super hero, man, and I would do good things! How ever much one thinks of doing naughty and nasty things... eventually, I think I'll end up doing good things only - at least I'd like to believe that. (Smiling slyly) But it depends on how long my magical powers are going to last. If it is like Aladdin's three wishes, then I have to think properly before using them rightly.
And what if they were indeed just like Aladdin's three wishes, what would he ask for? I don't know (shrugs) I believe in working harder and enjoying whatever I have. I wouldn't wish for money, a car or anything like that?
That must mean he'd wish for something money can't buy, right? (After a thoughtful pause) Right now, I'm doing Aladdin and I have Amitabh Bachchan, who is my genie, who comes out of the lamp and tells me what my three wishes are - I think that itself is worth three wishes!
